Dear Colleagues,
UNB and AUNBT have agreed that in light of potential effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the academic work of full-time (all streams) and contract academic employees and on their upcoming assessments, colleagues shall have the right to request a deferral of any assessment by one year, in addition to normal deferral provisions set out in the collective agreements.
Colleagues who choose this option shall so indicate in writing to their Deans with a copy to the campus Vice-President by 4 p.m. on June 15, 2020. Such a request shall be granted provided it is accompanied by a brief rationale for the deferral, which is to be included in the requesting individual’s official file.
